Last foals weaned, rest for or reciepents
Last weekend the last foals were weaned. So our breeding season is definitely over. As usual, we wean our foals at the age of 5 months. The pregnant mares go to a fresh field for a few weeks. This way they can get some rest before coming inside for the winter.
The reciepients that have carried and raised a foal this year are not pregnant for 2025. We have 2 groups of reciepients that are alternately used in our breeding program.
The welfare and health of our animals is still a priority.
